Little Red Riding Hood Cartoon

Little Red Riding Hood is one of the most well-known stories. The little girl is given bread and wine by her mother to give her sick Grandmother. Her mother warned her to stay on the path and go straight to Grandma’s house. While on the path, the little girl encounters a wolf, who asks where she’s going. Little Red explains that she is going to her Grandma’s house at the end of the woods. The wolf convinces Little Red to stray off the path and pick flowers while he runs to her Grandma’s house. While he was at the house, he tricked Grandma into thinking it was Little Red, broke in and ate Grandma. When Little Red arrives at the house, she notices that something is different about Grandma but she still got close to her. When she was close enough, the wolf ate Little Red but a hunter walked by the house and noticed that the door was open. So the hunter walked in and saw a wolf but instead of killing him, he cut open the wolf’s stomach and out came Little Red and Grandma. The hunter then put rocks in the wolf’s stomach and killed him.

The cartoon, found on the website, "joyreactor.com" by a person with the screen name, "Re-L Mayor," has a relatable twist to the story. When Little Red enters the house she sees it’s such a mess because the wolf had attacked and killed Grandma. She enters the bedroom and sees her Grandma in bed but it was actually the wolf in the bed. Instead of worrying about who her Grandma was, she was more concerned about how the house looked. So Little Red had her Grandma or the wolf put into a nursing home. I thought it was funny because my room is always a mess and it makes my parents extremely upset. This is also found in many households, especially ones that have a busy day-to-day lifestyle. On a more serious side, it can be used to show how a grandparent’s child might be concerned about how the grandparent is living and might believe that a nursing home is the best option. The child might believe they know best even if they don't ask for the full story. Either way you look at it, the cartoon can create a relatable yet fun twist to a well-known story.
